Ayurveda and Antioxidants

Modern research has shown us that antioxidants are one of the best methods to fight most skin damages. From wrinkles to acne to sun damage to skin cancer antioxidants is the remedy. Antioxidants are found in found in Vitamins A, B, C, and E, and in minerals such as zinc and selenium and they help fight the effects of free radicals which are unstable molecules produced by the body when it does not fully metabolize food or is exposed to ultraviolet sun rays, environmental toxins, pollutants or stress. These free radicals attack the healthy cells in our body which leads to several complications.

Ayurveda has come up with several simple steps to combat these free radicals

•          Have a balanced diet: Eat three meals every day and ensure they are rich in all the needed minerals.

•          Eat organic products and avoid toxins and fast food at all costs. Completely shun the intake of alcohol and use of tobacco.

•          Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water

•          Reduce stress by planning your day well ahead

Most of the Ayurvedic treatments in Kerala revolve around these fundamental policies. The Ayurvedic resorts in Kerala, the Ayurveda training courses in Kerala have also adopted the same. The Yoga Center in Kannur has even adopted the Panchakarma Therapy in Kerala.
