Energy Drink and Ayurveda

A very common site that one can behold in an airport would be the passengers carrying around their luggage in one hand and energy drink in the other. Energy drinks have been so common especially in the subcontinent that people fail to realize the harmful effects of consuming them on a periodic basis. Energy drinks are like the fast food of the liquid world, they have an extremely high calorific count and are also good to taste but very harmful to the body in the long run. The main constituent of an energy drink would be caffeine and speaking of the harmful effects that caffeine causes to the mental and physical state of a human being is another edition in itself. Apart from caffeine the next most present constituent is sugar and it has more than needed amounts of sugar and its supplements and this is why people who are diabetic should absolutely refrain themselves from health drinks. It also has artificial colours and flavours which are chemically induced and is by no means organic. In a nutshell, energy drinks are not good for the human body and the worst thing is most energy drinks have children and teenagers as their target audience.

Most of the Ayurvedic treatments in Kerala revolve around educating the short and long term effects of these fundamental issues. The Ayurvedic resorts in Kerala, the Ayurveda training courses in Kerala have also adopted the same. The Yoga Center in Kannur has even adopted the Panchakarma Therapy in Kerala.
